MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major international inroads into the Latin pop mainstream. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was winner of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in the year 2017. The album he released as his debut ADN was released by La Industria Inc., a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. It reached the top 8 spot in the Top Latin Albums Chart. Following that year, he joined forces with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. Mala Influencia came out as his collaboration with Noriel in the year 2020. In the following calendar year Dopamina was his follow-up album. In 2021, he sang a duet. he sang a duet in 2021 with TINI on her hit song Maldita Foto. The singer appeared with him in 2023 for 2000, featuring the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo was raised in a music-oriented environment as both his mother & older brother are professional musicians. Turizo has told interviews that music is a must. He was taught how to play the saxophone, guitar, Ukulele, and piano while a young child. The initial goal was to be a vet however, his brother Julian encouraged him to learn to sing with a Cuban instructor. What happened was that he realized his talents for singing, and the result altered the direction of his life.
