Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. Growing up she was influenced by Boleros, classical music and the classic romantic, ranchero, as well as romantic ballads. Ana is passionate about the operas and tangos and all dramatic performances. Ana began learning to play the piano and sing at an early age with her mother. The formal singing instruction when she reached the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was a member of many opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo with the traditional Latin American music at private occasions. She has been involved with a number of local initiatives, both as a teacher and performer, because of her enthusiasm for art and music. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is a fan of the traditional Latin American songs and hopes that she can inspire others to do the same.
